NHTSA Complaint #11703958 — 2013 DODGE DART

The contact owns a 2013 Dodge Dart. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked, the gear shifter was shifted into reverse, and the accelerator pedal was depressed. The contact stated that the vehicle failed to reverse as intended. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the dealer; however, the cause of the failure was not determined. In addition, the contact was advised that a diagnostic test was needed to determine the cause of the failure. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V674000 (Power Train); however, the part for the recall repair was not available. The contact stated that she was without a vehicle due to the unrepaired recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, and two cases were filed. The failure mileage was unknown.
