Consumer Description
The contact owns a 2021 Jeep Wrangler 4XE. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed, the check engine warning light illuminated. The accelerator pedal was depressed, but the vehicle failed to accelerate as intended, hesitated and jerked. The vehicle was taken to the dealer however, the failure could not be duplicated. The contact stated that the engine was replaced in July 2025. In addition, the vehicle had been taken back to the dealer several times since the engine replacement. The contact was advised by an Attorney to report the failure to the NHTSA Hotline. The contact stated that the vehicle was not reliable and was unsafe to drive. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired and remained with the dealer. In addition, the contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V741000 (Electrical System); however, the parts to do the recall repair were not available. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, and a case was filed. The failure mileage was approximately 50,000.
