The contact stated that the rubbers and trims surrounding the windshield were dry-rotted and were gradually peeling off and detaching from the vehicle. The dealer was notified of the failure and confirmed that the part was not yet available. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 80,000.
