NHTSA Complaint #11697641 — 2014 FORD EDGE

The contact owns a 2014 Ford Edge. The contact stated that while reversing, the rear-view camera displayed a distorted image. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed with a rear-view camera system failure. The contact was informed that the rear-view camera system needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact referenced an unknown recall which had a similar failure description; however, the vehicle was not associated. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
