Consumer Description

The vehicle has a built in wireless phone charger. When the charger is used for for more than > 10 minutes, the phone proceeds to heat up to the point it burns your hand when you take it off the charger. I have spoken to the dealer and the service advisor says this is “normal” and occurs in a variety of car models. Then he blamed my phone, but my phone does not heat when using any other wireless or plug in charger. I am concerned that the excess heat will result in the battery exploding as we have seen with other phone charger and laptop charger devices. Perhaps they honestly do not realize this is an is an issue, but do we have to wait until someone is seriously hurt before it is addressed?
