The contact owns a 2025 Hyundai Tucson. The contact stated that while driving 55 MPH, the contact attempted to switch lanes, and the Forward Collision Avoidance feature intermittently activated, bringing the vehicle to a complete stop. The contact started to experience neck pain from the consistency of the failure, but did not seek medical attention. The failure had occurred on several different occasions. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, where it was diagnosed that the vehicle was performing as designed. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that she was concerned that the brakes would sustain damage over time due to the constant failures. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and stated that if the contact permanently disabled the Forward Collision Avoidance feature, the warranty would be affected.
