NHTSA Complaint #11692549 — 2015 FORD EXPEDITION

The contact owns a 2015 Ford Expedition. The contact stated that while reversing, the back-over prevention camera screen displayed a black screen. The contact stated that because of the failure, the bumper on the rear passenger's side and the passenger's side mirror were damaged. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic; however, the vehicle was not inspected. The contact was advised to take the vehicle to the dealer for assistance. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V572000 (Back Over Prevention); however, parts for the recall repair were not yet available. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 152,000.
