The contact leased a 2024 VINFAST VF 8. The contact stated that upon pulling into the driveway with the rear wheels of the vehicle on the side of the roadway, the brake pedal was depressed, but the vehicle unintendedly accelerated. Additionally, the contact stated that while her sister was attempting to park downhill, the vehicle unintendedly accelerated temporarily and responded as needed. The contact also stated that while driving on the Golden Gate Bridge at an undisclosed speed and approaching a toll, the contact decelerated to 25 MPH, but the vehicle suddenly accelerated, and the passenger's side of the vehicle struck the guardrail. There were no warning lights illuminated. The air bags did not deploy. There was no injury sustained. No police report was filed. No further information was available. The contact stated that she was concerned for her safety because the vehicle was unsafe to drive. The local dealer was not contacted because the dealer had closed. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failures and referred the contact to the auto finance company for assistance.
