NHTSA Complaint #11683877 — 2023 NISSAN ROGUE

The contact owns a 2023 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, there was an abnormal sound coming from the engine. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer; however, the vehicle was not diagnosed. The vehicle was then taken to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed with bearing failure. The contact was informed that the bearings needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer; however, the failure was not duplicated. The contact was informed that the abnormal sound was caused by the turbo engine. The contact later received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V437000 (Engine and Engine Cooling); however, parts were not yet available. The contact stated that the vehicle had been experiencing the failure for a while; however, the failure was not duplicated. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 7,000.
