NHTSA Complaint #11681388 — 2021 FORD F-150

The contact owns a 2021 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle lost automotive power. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The contact stated that prior to the failure, the vehicle hesitated to start. In addition, the contact stated that the vehicle failed to restart or shift out of neutral(N). The vehicle was towed to a local residence, where it was diagnosed with a fuel pump failure. The local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V455000 (Fuel System, Gasoline); however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 51,000.
