Consumer Description

The contact owns a 2019 Ford F-150. The contact stated that during start-up, there was a loud rattling sound coming from the engine compartment. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, who diagnosed that the cam phasers were faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. While the vehicle was idling, the vehicle sputtered and vibrated abnormally. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, who replaced the spark plugs; however, the failure persisted. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was offered. The failure mileage was 105,000.
