Consumer Description
While parked and shut off at a gas station in Lakeside, CA, my 2015 Ford Fâ150 XLT spontaneously caught fire under the hood. The fire appeared to originate in the fuse box area, specifically where the fuel pump relay is integrated. The incident posed significant risk, occurring near a fuel pump while my child was in the vehicle. A gas station employee assisted with extinguishing the fire. The cause is believed to be an electrical short. There were no modifications or recent repairs.
