The contact owns a 2017 Ford Mustang. The contact stated that while reversing, the camera was fuzzy. The contact stated that the camera image went blank. The contact stated that after restarting the vehicle, the camera became inoperable. There were no warning lights illuminated. The local dealer was contacted and confirmed there was no recall or warranty coverage on the vehicle for the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The dealer referred the contact to the manufacturer for assistance. The manufacturer was contacted and informed the contact that the vehicle was previously repaired under NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V082000 (Back Over Prevention); and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 29,000.
