NHTSA Complaint #11667208 — 2013 RAM 1500

The contact owns a 2013 Ram 1500. The contact stated while driving 30-35 MPH in the neighborhood, the power steering became inoperable. The contact heard an abnormal popping sound. The steering jolted and the steering wheel yanked her arm. There were no warning lights illuminated. The contact was stuck in the middle of the road. The contact had to have another person drive the vehicle to the residence. The contact stated that the failure was related to NHTSA Action Number: RQ23003 (Steering). The local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 133,000.
