NHTSA Complaint #11663197 — 2021 FORD F-250

The contact owns a 2021 Ford F-250. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, there was a loud clanking sound coming from the rear of the vehicle. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact stated that the vehicle went into LIMP mode, and then lost motive power. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V957000 (Fuel System, Diesel). The vehicle was towed to the dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that the fuel system and fuel pump module had failed and needed to be replaced. The dealer confirmed that parts related to the recall repair were not yet available. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 115,000.
