NHTSA Complaint #11657195 — 2010 CHRYSLER TOWN AND COUNTRY

The contact owns a 2010 Chrysler Town and Country. The contact stated that while operating the vehicle, the brake warning light and traction control warning light suddenly illuminated, and the instrument panel gauges became inoperable before the vehicle momentarily shut off and restarted. Additionally, after starting the vehicle, the gear shifter failed to immediately shift out of park. The contact stated that after turning off and restarting the vehicle, the contact was able to shift the gear shifter out of park(P). The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The local dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was offered. The failure mileage was 150,000.
