NHTSA Complaint #11656459 — 2017 LAND ROVER RANGE ROVER

I am the owner of a 2017 Land Rover Range Rover (VIN: [XXX] ). I recently discovered a crack in the front steering knuckle of my vehicle, which I believe poses a significant safety risk. This type of failure could result in a sudden loss of control, especially at higher speeds or during turns, potentially leading to a serious accident. I am aware that Land Rover issued a recall (NHTSA Campaign Number 24V-840) for a similar defect in the front suspension knuckle affecting 2014–2016 models, but my 2017 model is not currently included in this recall—even though the issue appears identical. Given the nature of the failure and its similarity to the existing recall, I am requesting that NHTSA investigate whether the recall should be expanded to include additional model years. I am concerned that other vehicles like mine may be at risk without the owners being aware of this potentially dangerous defect.
