Consumer Description

The contact owns a 2016 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while at a red light the vehicle failed to move forward. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was towed to a transmission repair facility where it was determined that the transmission needed to be replaced. The local dealer was contacted, but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 116,000.
