NHTSA Complaint #11651670 — 2015 CHRYSLER 200

The contact owns a 2015 Chrysler 200. The contact stated that while idling at a stop light, the transmission erroneously shifted to neutral, and the vehicle would not drive forward. The contact was unable to shift the transmission out of neutral and the vehicle was later towed back to the residence. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The vehicle was not repaired. The local dealer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was offered. The contact was informed that the VIN was not included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 16V529000 (POWER TRAIN). The contact stated that the vehicle had experienced the failure listed in the recall. The manufacturer was not yet contacted. The failure mileage was 177,000.
