NHTSA Complaint #11651304 — 2020 CHEVROLET CAMARO

The contact owns a 2020 Chevrolet Camaro. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V148000 (Power Train); however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact stated that while pulling out of the driveway in reverse and then shifting into drive, there was a loud banging sound underneath the vehicle. The contact stated that the transmission felt as if it was going to lock. There were no warning lights illuminated. The contact stated that the failure occurred approximately 6 months later. The dealer was contacted. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was approximately 10,000. VIN tool confirms parts not available.
