NHTSA Complaint #11651032 — 2015 RAM 1500

The contact owns a 2015 Ram 1500. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle stalled and went into LIMP Mode with the throttle control and the check engine warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was able to be restarted. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that the tone ring on the crankshaft had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 87,600.
