The contact owns a 2022 Ford F-250. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V957000 (FUEL SYSTEM, DIESEL); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The dealer was made aware of the issue. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact's husband stated that while driving 70 MPH, the accelerator pedal was depressed, and the vehicle failed to respond. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The contact's husband stated that the check engine warning light was illuminated, and the vehicle lost motive power. The contact stated that after turning off and restarting the vehicle, the vehicle functioned as needed for several days. The vehicle was then taken to a dealer and the contact's husband was informed that there was no technician available to repair the vehicle. The vehicle was diagnosed with turbo failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 82,000. VIN tool confirms parts not available.
