Consumer Description
The contact owns a 2024 Toyota Tundra Hybrid. The contact stated that upon starting the vehicle and attempting to depress the brake pedal, the brake pedal went to the floorboard with no resistance. The contact depressed the brake pedal again and on the third attempt, the brake pedal functioned as intended. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer where the vehicle was diagnosed; however, the contact was informed that there was no cause for the failure found; however, a code for a brake communication failure was retrieved. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 3,400.
