NHTSA Complaint #11643657 — 2011 FORD EDGE

The contact owns a 2011 Ford Edge. The contact stated that the infotainment screen touchpad was engaging functions independently. Additionally, the contact stated the rearview camera and the GPS were intermittently inoperable. The contact replaced the Image Processing Module (IPM); however, the failure persisted. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the AWD and cruise control modes disengaged unintendedly. The contact stated that messages indicating that the traction control, cruise control, and AWD were disengaged were displayed. The dealer and the manufacturer were notified of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 140,000.
