Consumer Description
Dear NHTSA, I am filing this complaint regarding my Jaguar I-PACE, which is subject to the recall for battery fire risks. I have attempted to work with Jaguar regarding a vehicle repurchase, but they have failed to provide a clear timeline or next steps. On [XXX], at 11:13 AM, I spoke with Jaguar Customer Care, and they informed me that someone would contact me but did not provide a timeframe. Today, I followed up again at 1:29 PM and 2:09 PM, only to be told that there was no email address available to escalate my concerns and that I would be contacted at an unspecified time. This lack of communication and transparency is unacceptable, given the serious safety concerns involved in this recall. I am requesting NHTSA’s intervention to ensure that Jaguar follows proper procedures and provides affected owners with a timely resolution, including repurchase options where applicable. I believe their handling of this recall is causing unnecessary delays and putting consumers in a difficult position. I would appreciate any guidance on how to proceed, as Jaguar has left me without a clear path forward. Thank you for your time and assistance.
