Consumer Description

The contact owns a 2020 Ford EcoSport. The contact stated that upon starting the vehicle, there was an abnormal sound coming from the engine. The contact proceeded to drive and shortly afterward the message, "Oil Pressure Low" was displayed. The contact parked the vehicle on the side of the highway and had the vehicle towed to a local independent mechanic to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the timing belt and the engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 50,825.
