The contact owns a 2024 Ford Mustang. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V802000 (Electrical System); however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact stated while driving approximately 10 MPH, the instrument cluster went black. The contact was in a parking lot and had stopped the vehicle. The contact turned off and restarted the vehicle and regained instrument panel functionality. The contact stated that the failure was intermittent but became a recurring failure while driving at various speeds. Additionally, the contact stated that while driving approximately 65 MPH, while following a left curve in the roadway, the brake pedal was depressed, and the rear end swerved to the right while turning the steering wheel to the left. The contact stated that the instrument cluster was black, and he was not aware of any warning lights being illuminated. The contact was able to regain control of the vehicle and drove to the residence. The contact had not taken the vehicle to a dealer or independent mechanic. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired.
