The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic who determined that the failure was due to the starter and the engine. The mechanic informed the contact that the engine and starter needed to be replaced. The local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 185,000.
