NHTSA Complaint #11636025 — 2019 FORD F-150

The contact owns a 2019 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked, the contact became aware that there was a fracture under the Ford emblem on the steering wheel. The vehicle was taken to the dealer to be inspected. The contact was informed that the front driver's side air bag needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact was advised to contact the manufacturer for assistance. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was filed. The contact referenced Technical Service Bulletin: 10207126; however, the vehicle was not covered under the TSB. The contact was advised to contact the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 93,000.
