The contact owns a 2015 Ford Explorer. The contact stated that while reversing, the backup camera image was displayed on the wrong side of the screen creating a visibility hazard for the driver. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the camera unit was faulty and needed to be replaced. The backup camera was replaced, and the vehicle was repaired. The local dealer and manufacturer were notified of the failure, but no assistance was offered. The failure mileage was 100,000.
