NHTSA Complaint #11630869 — 2024 TESLA MODEL Y

The cameras stopped working on my brand new Model Y Tesla. I filed a service request Dec 4th and it keeps getting pushed back (Currently Dec 26th with no ETA on part availability) because this part has a widespread issue on newer Model Ys. They are saying it is “Fried AP4 computer, remove and replace”. I just purchased it from Tesla in November. It only has around 1500 miles on it. I can’t use any cameras on my car including backup cameras, forward facing cameras, side cameras. No forward or rear warning or brake assist items work. It’s incredibly difficult to see out of the rear window when backing up without the cameras. I fear it’s a matter of time before I run over a little kid when backing up because the cameras don’t work.
