Consumer Description

Took the truck to Larry H Miller Ram in Surprise AZ for the high pressure fuel pump recall on 29 Nov. Picked up the truck on [XXX]. About 1.5-2 miles down the road the truck started spraying fuel everywhere, losing traction. Was on a main road so I had to go about a mile before I could pull off the road safely. Called the dealership to come get me and the truck. Service advisor let me know the low pressure line fitting had failed! When I picked the truck up again on 3 Dec, the advisor told me that they are being pushed by the manufacturer to re-use one time use fittings and that is what failed on my truck! UNACCEPTABLE. Fortunately I was on a 45mph road not the freeway doing 70! INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
