Subject: Urgent Safety Complaint Regarding Recall Delays for My Kia Vehicle Dear National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, I am reaching out to file a safety complaint regarding an ongoing recall issue with my Kia vehicle that has not been addressed, despite multiple attempts to have it resolved. Kia has been aware of the necessary recall for several months, and I recently scheduled an appointment with my local dealership to address these recalls. Unfortunately, the dealership canceled my appointment the day before, citing that they still do not have the necessary parts to complete the repair. This situation has escalated to a serious safety hazard, not only for my family and me but for others around us. Recently, while my vehicle was parked at my child’s school, I experienced a malfunction that caused the vehicle to roll forward while still in park. I was momentarily unaware of the movement and was horrified to realize it almost struck a mother and her child who were exiting the school. This has been a frightening and deeply disappointing experience, and I am concerned about the lack of urgency from Kia in addressing this issue. I urge NHTSA to look into this matter and take action as needed to ensure that Kia expedites the resolution of these critical safety recalls.
