NHTSA Complaint #11625095 — 2018 HONDA ODYSSEY

During the hurricane Milton evacuation my wife and our 3 children suddenly lost power on I75 North in the dark and had to pull to the side of the road with speeding cars flying by in near pitch black. we later discovered that the control rod in the engine is broken according to a Honda dealership and we would need a new engine. The dealership said it is very strange for this to happen with how well it appears to be maintained and that there was a previouse recall on the 2018 and 2019 Honda Odysseys and mine might need to be included however upon speaking with Honda they said there was nothing they could do. Dealership quoted me $9,100.00 for new engine.
