The contact owns a 2016 Chrysler Town and Country. The contact stated while the vehicle was at the independent mechanic for transmission replacement, the contact was informed that the plastic oil filter housing had melted. The contact was informed that the oil filter housing needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
