Consumer Description
I own since May 2015 a 2013 Lincoln MKS . On [XXX] after pulling out from the curb and driving straight about 20 feet a prompt was displayed showing :power steering assist not available I was unable to steer the car. I turned the car off after a minute i started the car again and was OK. I took the vehicle to Hinton repair shop in Ocala Florida and a scan showed a defective module. The mechanic ordered the module and rack and pinion. I called Lincoln and was told there is nothing they can do since there is no recall .There is a NHTSA campaign number 15v340000 which should apply to my vehicle.
