Consumer Description

While driving my son to school, traffic began slowing and then accelerating in front of me. I was driving approximately 40 mph when I took my foot off the accelerator to slow down. Before I had a chance to press the brake, the vehicle shifted into neutral on it own without the shift level being touch and a steady Malfunction Indicator Light came on. At this point the traffic began speeding up and I was unable to accelerate until I manually shifted the vehicle back into drive.
