NHTSA Complaint #11616258 — 2019 RAM 1500

The contact owns a 2019 Ram 1500. The contact stated while driving 10-15 MPH, the brake pedal was depressed, but the vehicle failed to stop immediately. The Forward Collision Avoidance system activated and prevented the vehicle from rear-ending another vehicle in front. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where the contact was informed that the VIN was included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V653000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic, Electronic Stability Control); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 41,297.
