Consumer Description

The coolant leaks into the engine, causing misfiring, overheating, and sputtering.The following message is the displayed on the dashboard. "Engine Coolant Over Temperature". When this happens, the happens the vehicle barely moves with smoke from the hood. As a result I no longer use the car. I called Ford customer service for remedy and was told that existing recalls are VIN specific and applies to my vehicle. My VIN is [XXX] .
