NHTSA Complaint #11615002 — 2022 TOYOTA TUNDRA

The contact owns a 2022 Toyota Tundra. The contact received notifications of NHTSA Campaign Numbers: 23V566000 (Fuel System, Gasoline) and 24V381000 (Engine and Engine Cooling); however, the parts to do the recall repairs were unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact stated that while driving 60 MPH, the accelerator pedal was depressed; however, the vehicle lost motive power. The contact stated that the "Loss of Power" warning light was illuminated. The contact exited the highway and stopped the vehicle. The contact turned off and restarted the vehicle and saw that the RPM gauge was showing very low RPM but had gradually regained RPM until the vehicle regained normal engine functionality. The contact stated that the loss of power was intermittent but happened from a cold start and while stopped at a traffic light. The failure mileage was approximately 24,000.
