Consumer Description
The contact owns a 2020 Ford Expedition. The contact stated while driving at various speeds and attempting to steer the vehicle, the steering wheel would oversteer the vehicle. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a mechanic where it was diagnosed that the power steering was overcompensating while steering the vehicle. The mechanic stated that the failure was related to NHTSA Campaign Number: 24E055000 (Steering). The mechanic contacted the dealer and confirmed that the VIN was not included in the recall. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The manufacturer referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The failure mileage was 50,000.
