Consumer Description

Incident Report: Spontaneous Shattering of Driver-Side Glass Window Incident Summary: The driver-side window of my vehicle spontaneously shattered twice while parked, producing a loud burst sound on both occasions. The first incident occurred in May 2024, and the second took place on September 5, 2024. Details of Incidents: - First Incident: May 2024 - The window shattered spontaneously with no prior warning or messages. - Tesla replaced the window after the first incident. - Second Incident: September 5, 2024 - The window shattered again with similar characteristics. - This poses a significant safety risk as shattered glass can potentially cause injury, such as entering the eye. Current Status: - The problem has not been independently confirmed by third-party experts or the dealership. - The vehicle has not been inspected by insurance, police, or the manufacturer following the second incident. - Tesla addressed the issue after the first occurrence without knowledge of it reoccurring. Concerns: - There is a persistent safety risk due to the potential for injury from shattered glass. - Lack of investigation or confirmation from independent sources or the manufacturer about the underlying cause. I am asking Tesla for a thorough inspection and Iinstallation.
