Consumer Description

The contact owns a 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the tailgate would occasionally raise and lower independently even though the tailgate switch was not depressed. No warning light was illuminated. The contact stated that upon further investigation, the contact related the failure to an unknown recall; however, the VIN was not included. The local dealer was contacted, but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 40,000.
