NHTSA Complaint #11609370 — 2015 ACURA ILX

The contact owns a 2015 Acura ILX. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the brake pedal was depressed, with the ABS warning light illuminated. The vehicle was restarted; however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the electronic braking control module had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 50,000.
