NHTSA Complaint #11606501 — 2023 HONDA CR-V

The contact owned a 2023 Honda CR-V. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle unintendedly accelerated. The contact stated that the failure occurred while driving on a busy four-lane highway. The contact stated that at one point the vehicle was on two wheels to avoid crashing into a truck. The contact stated that his foot was on the brake pedal during the failure. The vehicle was towed to the dealer; however, the failure could not be duplicated. The vehicle was not repaired. The was afraid of driving the vehicle and the vehicle was traded-in. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was filed. The failure mileage was approximately 22,472.
