The contact's girlfriend owns a 2016 Ford Fusion. The contact stated that while his girlfriend was reversing, the front wheels seized, and the vehicle was shaking. The vehicle then lost motive power. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic, who determined that there was coolant intrusion into the engine and that the engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 147,000.
