NHTSA Complaint #11606156 — 2023 FISKER OCEAN

The contact owns a 2023 Fisker Ocean. The contact stated while approaching a red light or a stop sign at approximately 10 MPH, the brake pedal was depressed while releasing the accelerator pedal, and the contact drove over a pothole or an object in the road and the vehicle accelerated at high speed, and then returned to normal operation. The contact was concerned that the failure might cause a crash. No warning light was illuminated. The contact also stated that occasionally while the vehicle was parked and attempting to unlock the vehicle, the key fob failed to connect to the vehicle leaving the contact with no other option but to unlock the vehicle manually. No warning light was illuminated. Additionally, the contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed with the seat belt engaged, the vehicle made a beeping sound as if the seat belt was not securely fastened. No warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was driven back to the residence. A dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 8,000.
