Consumer Description

The contact owns a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that on three separate occasions while his wife was driving at speeds below 30 MPH, the transmission unexpectedly shifted into neutral(N). The vehicle was steered to the side of the road and restarted each time. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where unknown codes related to the transmission were retrieved. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was then towed to a dealer where it was determined that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 138,626.
