The contact owns a 2018 Ford EcoSport. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V905000 (Engine and Engine Cooling) however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact stated while driving at approximately 40 MPH, the check engine warning light illuminated, and the steering wheel was vibrating abnormally. The contact depressed the brake pedal; however, the vehicle was still vibrating abnormally. The contact stated that the failure was intermittent but had become a recurring failure at various speeds. The contact had not taken the vehicle to a dealer or independent mechanic. The contact called a local dealer and was advised to take the vehicle for a diagnostic test. The vehicle was not repaired.
