Consumer Description

"CHECK ABS SYSTEM" LIGHT INTERMITTENTLY COMES ON/OFF. WHEN THE LIGHT IS ON EVERY TIME I HIT THE BRAKES IT CHIMES. THE DEALERSHIP SAYS IT IS A KNOWN ISSUE WITH 2017/2018 RAM 2500/3500 TRUCKS AND THAT THE ABS MODULE/PUMP NEEDS TO BE REPLACED BUT THEY HAVE BEEN ON BACK ORDER FOR OVER A YEAR. LOOKING ON THE INTERNET THERE ARE LOADS OF PEOPLE WITH THE SAME ISSUE AND YET THERE IS NO RECALL. THE DEALER SAYS THAT I SHOULD "BE CAREFUL" DRIVING THE TRUCK AS THE ABS NOT WORKING COULD INCREASE STOPPING DISTANCE.
